Outrageous
and totally original, MY LITTLE HOLLYWOOD humourously and sweetly
documents the fantasy world inside the mind of every boy and
girl who travels to Hollywood to fulfill their movie dream.
Wandering
vagabond Costello (Matt Harrison in his first screen role)
drifts into Los Angeles where he falls under the spell of
the beautiful, fast-talking 17 year old Rose (Tiprin Mandalay,
ROBERTA), a liquor store clerk, who convinces Costello to
become a movie director to fulfill her dreams of film stardom.
Assembling a cast of misfits (Shawn Andrews, DAZED AND CONFUSED),
gigolos and ne'er-do-wells (Jason Oliver, STAND BY ME), Costello's
gang inadvertently makes a movie and finds itself on the yellow
brick road to their own Little Hollywood.
The
world's first "Auto Directed"
movie, MY LITTLE HOLLYWOOD was written, directed and shot
by the man who plays the main character, Matt Harrison. With
astonishing facility, Harrison actually writes, acts and shoots,
all at the same time, live and on camera, fearlessly smuggling
his actors along for scenes in diners, restaurants, nightclubs
and other Hollywood haunts. Follow the camera as Harrison
bullshits his way onto a lot and takes you inside for an actual
studio pitch.
Featuring
an exciting young cast of new faces from Los Angeles, Matthew
Harrison's MY LITTLE HOLLYWOOD promises to be one of the writer/director's
funniest feature films. With music by John Horn (RHYTHM
THIEF), MY LITTLE HOLLYWOOD is currently in post-production.
Tiprin Mandalay (Rose) rides the San
Diego freeway in her 1971 Chevy Malibu in MY LITTLE HOLLYWOOD.
