Synopsis:
Downtown
screw-up Redmond (Kevin Corrigan, SLUMS OF BEVERYLY HILLS) is having
a very bad day: fired from his job, dumped by his girl (Lili Taylor,
I SHOT ANDY WARHOL) and evicted from his burning apartment, Redmond
is on the lam looking to lay low for a couple of days.
Only problem is Redmond runs into his irresponsible two-bit scheming
Uncle Sam (James Woods, SALVADOR) who pressures his nephew into
running "a little errand". The delivery goes very wrong and now
Redmond has some angry businessmen from Brooklyn hot on his tail.
Figuring he can hide out at his best buddy Mike Rapaport's (ILLTOWN,
METRO, MIGHTY APHRODITE) pad in the Lower East Side projects, Redmond
must hit the dirt as bullets fly when Rapaport's beer distribution
machine-gun war flares up.
As if this wasn't enough, Redmond gets the hots for beautiful world wise airline stewardess (Linda Fiorentino, LAST
SEDUCTION) and jumps into bed with her for a wild one night stand.
Redmond is way out of his depth, but nothing is as funny as a day in the life of thisDownwardly Mobile Urban White Guy.

didn't like the movie. I, however, loved it. Kevin Corrigan is perfect
for his role, his acting is so low key that he makes some of the
funniest lines even funnier."
